Instructor Malcolm Rosenberger is widely acknowledged as one of the top Scottish snare drummers in North America. As a solo competitor, he turned professional at the age of 16 and won the western U.S. open championship five years in a row, retiring the trophy. More recently, Rosenberger has focused on competitive pipe band drumming. In more than 200 band contests, the corps he has led have a win rate of more than 95 per cent. He is well known not only for his technical mastery, but also for the innovativeness of his original scores. Many of Rosenberger’s hundreds of students have gone on to success as solo competitors or to lead their own pipe band drum corps.
